Illusive Media is a film production company co-founded by its creative director, Shomi Patwary, a Bengali-American video director and producer known for his unique and unconventional style. Our company started out as a web design business, but later became a full-time production studio when Shomi's wife, Punom Patwary, began executive producing for the company.
At the 2016 MuchMusic Awards, Illusive Media was nominated for several prestigious awards, including Video of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, and Best MuchFact Video, for their work on Belly's hit single "Might Not" featuring The Weeknd. In addition to their success at the MuchMusic Awards, Illusive was also a director and executive producer on Sony Music's official documentary celebrating the 25th anniversary of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which won a total of 8 Telly Awards, including the gold award for general documentary. Furthermore, Illusive has worked with a wide array of celebrities, such as Beyonce, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Diplo, Shah Rukh Khan, Kevin Hart, and Mark Ronson, to name just a few. The company has also partnered with numerous well-known brands, including Google, Facebook, UPS, Snapple, Mountain Dew, Adidas, Pepsi, the NBA, Disney, and many others.
